Events - Greenpower Goblin
On Friday 4th December a Greenpower Goblin was introduced to Doxey Primary School for the first time by Advanced Skills Teacher, Andy Mayers from Madeley High School.
The Greenpower Goblin kit car is designed specifically to offer primary school pupils a chance to get involved in a simple, practical engineering project that embraces many relevant aspects of science and technology in a fun and exciting way.
Later on in the school year the children will have to build their own Greenpower Goblin, hopefully with support from adults in the community, then complete practice sessions to find the fastest drivers, before racing at race circuits around the country.
" The Year 6 children were very excited to get behind the wheel and are now looking forward to making the Goblin with their friends and families. Perhaps one of our Doxey children will be the next Jenson Button or Lewis Hamilton!" stated Jon. Dreher (Headteacher)
